The Pacific EyeClinic located in the lower west wing of Jefferson Hall is being remodeled.
This area of the optometry building is where the examination rooms are. According to Jennifer Coyle, the Dean of the College of Optometry, the rooms had not been remodeled in many years, so the modifications are a welcomed improvement. Only a few examination rooms are being remodeled at a time to allow the clinic to continue seeing patients while renovations take place.
The EyeClinic in Jefferson Hall is one of the five Pacific EyeClinics; the other four are located in Beaverton, downtown Portland, in Cornelius at the Virginia Garcia Memorial Health Center, and at Pacific’s Hillsboro campus.
“We provide eye care to faculty, staff, students of Pacific and all the local residents,” said Coyle on the benefits of the clinics to their surrounding communities. The remodeled examination rooms should be finished by February 2017.
