Looking for something fun to do on Friday? Check out the Improv Show!

The students of Pacific’s Improv Troupe have been preparing for their shows since the start of school, and will put their work on display at two back-to-back shows on Friday, Sept. 30.

Junior Corri Seideman will be hosting this year’s first show alongside senior Kevin Fulfs.

Seideman explained that she has been studying the art of improve since her freshman year at Pacific and now absolutely loves everything about it.

“Expect the unexpected,” Seideman said regarding the upcoming shows. According to Seideman, improv is an unpredictable art form, taking unexpected turns at every corner.

Each improv show will consist of a number of different improv party games that will include not only the actors on stage but also the audience. There are eight main cast members in the Improv Troupe this year but they will not be alone as audience participation is a large part of each show.

According to Seideman, each improv show will be thrilling, but the later midnight showing is when things get “wild.” However, there will be no themes for this year’s improv shows as the Improv Troupe was hard pressed for time.

Fall auditions are over, but there will be more auditions in the spring for all of those interested in joining the Improv Troupe. Students who cannot wait until spring and who want to be involved in the Improv Troupe now are encouraged to join the Improv club which is currently in the early stages of development.

The first show will take place at 7:30 p.m. in Warner 5 and the other at midnight in the Tom Miles Theater, both of which are located in Warner Hall. No tickets are required for the event but seats will fill fast. Each show is estimated to run for about two hours.

The Improv Troupe plans on hosting another show in December and is currently working on developing the theme, which will most likely revolve around the holiday season.
