Pacific athletics continue to strive over summer

The men’s soccer team received 40 of a potential 64 points in the poll and received three first-place votes by the league’s eight coaches.  For the first time, coaches were not allowed to vote for their own teams.

For the second straight year, Pacific University’s women’s track and field team has been recognized as a NCAA Division III All-Academic Track & Field Team. The U.S. Track & Field And Cross Country Coaches Association recognized them. The Boxers were one of 111 Division III women’s track programs recognized by the coaches association, which honor teams  that have a cumulative grade point average of 3.10 or better.

A total of 71 Pacific University student-athletes have been honored for their high academic achievement with selection to the 2010-11 Academic All-Northwest Conference Team.

Graduate and collegiate softball player, Stephanie Vanoudenhaegen was selected for a national base-stealing award. She was named as the NCAA Division III winner of the 2011 Golden Shoe Award.
