Pacific University was named by the Princeton Review as one of the best schools on the United States’ west coast. On the Review, students of Pacific gave their summaries of topics such as student life, good eats on campus, and academic departments and professor availability. In addition, many university statistics, such as the tuition costs, financial aid, and average SAT/ACT scores are available to the public as well.

One of the highlights students have discussed frequently on college review sites such as The Princeton Review, as well as a major topic of discussion for anyone considering their college options is Pacific University’s academic departments, as well as the relationships between students and faculty. Particular praise has gone to the university’s small class sizes and science departments, with students saying that the university’s science programs are top notch and very student oriented.

“Pacific’s small classroom size allowed me to be engaged in class discussions and get the most out of my education experience throughout my 4 years,” said Kiana Kaupiko, a public health graduate of Pacific University.

“I’ve had a number of good professors with diverse teaching styles, and a few poor instructors,” said Dan Yamamoto, a fellow graduate of Pacific University with a major in biology and a doctorate in optometry. “Overall, the professors were extremely helpful and the small class sizes allowed me to approach many of them when I needed assistance and allowed me to get to know them personally.”

Another aspect of Pacific University that is discussed on The Princeton Review is the student life within the university’s campus. Parker Wong is studying in a different state, and has also given a positive review about living at Pacific, both on and off campus.

“I loved living in the dorms and being close to all my friends and peers,” said Wong. “I also loved the convenience of being on campus, though the freedom of living off campus, which I did my senior year, was nice as well.”
