Police charge former student with rape

Former Pacific University student, Kasen Kunishima- Takushi, was arrested on rape charges during a class at the University of Hawaii at Manoa on a warrant by the Forest Grove Police.

The 20-year-old is now being charged with two counts of first-degree rape and two accounts of first degree sodomy. He will be extradited back to Washington County.

He attended Pacific during the 2014-15 school year and the first two months of the 2015-16 school year. After being expelled from the university, he went back to his home state of Hawaii where he enrolled at Hawaii Manoa.

The victim reported the incident to the university and when the Forest Grove Police found out three weeks later Kunishima-Takushi was already back in Hawaii.

He is being held on $520,000 bail awaiting extradition to Forest Grove.
