Community rallies against sexual assault

This year the Center for Gender Equity teamed up with Campus Wellness to put on the annual Take Back the Night Event on Friday, April 15. About 75 or more Pacific University students, staff and faculty joined together to march through campus, up Main Street all the way to Lincoln Park chanting to show support to survivors and to call for an end to sexual violence. Representative Susan Mclain (bottom left) fired up the event with a few remarks about sexual violence on college campuses. After the march, the Campus Wellness Coordinator, Kathleen Converse, discussed resources available for survivors to help them come to terms with their experiences. Senior Nicole Vickers (bottom right) is a proud supporter of this internationally recognized event and encourages everyone to take a stand against sexual assult.
