Pacific remembers September 11

Most Americans remember exactly where they were ten years ago when the twin towers of the World Trade Center were attacked. In the years since 9/11, some have healed, some have held onto their pain and many have given their lives in the War on Terror.

For this year’s anniversary, to honor the 2,977 people who lost their lives on 9/11, students placed one flag for every victim in the Marsh East Lawn. The spirit bench was painted for the occasion. Forest Grove firefighters, police officers, service men and Campus Pulic Safety graced Lincoln Park Stadium in honor and rememberance. Pacific’s and Forest Grove’s flags were lowered to half mast as well.
