After 20-plus years of silence and “no-comment,” psychology professor Alyson Burns-Glover spoke to The Pacific Index.
As Index journalist Hailey Hawkins walked through a crowded hallway, Burns-Glover is reported to have bumped into the her and uttered, “excuse me.” The two words mark the first time Burns-Glover has spoken directly to a member of the Index in more than two decades.
“It’s very exciting,” said Hawkins, “Maybe this means she’s ready to open up an exchange of communication!”
Burns-Glover was contacted via telephone for comment on the incident.
“I never said that,” she exclaimed, “You’ve misquoted me.”
Burns-Glover is said to have muttered something inaudible and then hung up. Index staff members remain optimistic that she’ll come around – eventually.
